HI there - I am half way through my chemo treatments and I have developed a stinking cold. Does anyone know if I am ok to take normal cold/flu type medication? Nose is streaming and I have a bit of a temperature - nothing dangerous as yet. Just not sure if I can take the usual meds for this. Feeling like crap to be honest. Grateful for any advice . Thanks
Hi Lizzymillie welcome to the forum and sorry to hear how rubbish you are feeling. Are you able to take Paracetamol ? I would be tempted not to take anything else until you have spoken to the chemo clinic folks and take their advice as some of these meds can interact with the chemo and you dont want that so try calling them in the am if possible and hope that you start to feel better soon..
Hi Gail thank you for replying. I do have paracetamol so I will take some and see how I go, Whilst I know its just a cold I am also a bit concerned as I know I have nothing to fight it. Will call the chemo nurse tomorrow - thanks again
