Must haves for surgery

Heart shaped pillow was great at taking pressure off underarm especially in bed.  Some dry shampoo incase your arm is tight

Hi had my Masectomy July 2019 story on profile  Heart shaped pillow is invaluable as was drain bag I got mine free from Macmillan unit in my hospital .

I purchased a V pillow to aid comfort in bed . Also button thru tops and   Nightwear because it’s difficult to get arms above head lol 

Water wipes were useful for freshening up after that it was magazines and books . Also some nice treats in fridge .

Hi, I say clothes that are really easy to put on with one arm, so leggings and button up PJs or shirts. Might be worth ensuring you have enough ibuprofen in the house if the pain continues. My hospital only gave me one pair of compression socks, so I had to get a spare so I could have them washed (needed to wear those for c10 days I think) oh yes, a post surgery bra if you haven't thought of that, many places do them but my preference was M&S. Wishing you well for the operation. If you're staying in overnight, a long phone charger cable was useful as the plugs are never where you want them to be! my 2m one came in very handy.
