Hi
Does anyone know if changing the brand changes the side effects …. Or if you change from one brand to another - does your body need to get used to the new brand? X
HI Alexa
I was on Anastrozole, rather than Letrozole - but similar side effects. My answer is yes I do believe the brands make a difference. If you look up the coatings of the different brands some of them are the same and some are marginally different. I was given a different brand from my usual Accord or Teva once and boy, oh boy - within a day I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I had some of my Accord left in the cupboard and switched back and the side effects went within a day. I trialled the other brand for a day again, a couple of months later and the same thing happened.
I think for some ladies it can take a little while for the effects to differ, but for me it was in a day.
Best Wishes, Lesley
