Hi everyone I’m new to this and just thought I need to open up more ! I’ve got Breast cancer (bone only) diagnosed in feb, I had a mastectomy 12 years ago as had calcification so had to be removed but no other treatment til this happened this year so was in utter shock, had a pain in my back thought it was siatica u til scan showed what I have now, had 6 rounds of chemo along with phesgo injection and after all that it has worked brilliantly and now after a scan it’s all under control and no spread anywhere else ! Amazing ! Been put on letrozole aswell as continued phesgo injections ! Side effects are crazy hot sweats mood swings anxiety is horrific and not like me at all joint pain lost all confidence ! I’ve just starting using cbd patches and I think I feel better but now I’m worrying incase I shouldnt be using them and they might start off my oestrogen ! I’m her2postive so the letrozole is to stop me producing oestrogen ! Surely the patches wouldn’t would they they are not expensive am I just over thinking too much as every little thing is stressing me all the time and making me anxious, can anyone help settle me ?
Hi Lincolncity
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer. I suggest that you ring your oncology team and ask them about the patches to help set your find at rest. It's perfectly understandable that you are feeling stressed about every little thing. Would you consider trying meditation to help with your stress levels? There are some good ones that you can download for free like Calm Radio and Breathe. Also try to get out in the fresh air even if it's only for a few minutes as that can help with your stress levels as well.
Hope this helps and best of luck with the rest of your treatment.
Best wishes

As Daisy53 has said, best to check anything and everything with your oncologist before taking it as they will know of any drug interactions, or whether it affects your oestrogen levels.
I just wanted to say that I had a course of acupuncture and it did wonders for my anxiety - I really recommend it
