hello,my wifes just had a mastectomy, and is looking for a silicone protheses, looking for advice please,we were looking at the one you pump up expensive but they did look good and comfy to wear, has anybody bought one and are they worth the money also does she need a speacial one for swimming, thank you, john
I got an appointment after about 8 weeks to see a breast care nurse for a silicone prostheses fitting. It’s free. She also gave me details of specialist companies which do special ones for swimming etc. I’ve set that to one side as a project for next summer as I’ve still got chemo to finish and then radio. These companies do have shops/pop ups around the country but also do online consultations. It would be worth asking your wife’s team what is on your area and checking out dates for any regional pop ups if you are a long way from a shop.
hi thank you, good luck in your treatment, take care x
