Hello everyone,
Thought I would drop in and have a catch up. For all those coming on scared and frightened, I was that person almost 3 years ago. I had, her2 positive breast cancer, multi focal and in 2 nodes. Had chemo surgery, radiotherapy and a year of herceptin. I still have some wobbles but I'm still here. Also been thru a divorce and now living a single life in my own home. I never thought I would make it this far. Just thought an encouraging message would help those who are really worried right now. This platform is a great place and I know it helped me, not only with the cancer, but the personal issues I was facing. Its a horrible experience, just thought a positive message would help,
Julie xx
Hi Julie
I’m so glad to hear you’re doing well after all the **** you’ve dealt with ! Your positive message really does help
I’ve just finished 6 months of chemo and now hopefully having surgery in a months time
How do you feel mentally about it all now if you don’t mind me asking ?
L xx
Hello, Dollydimple,
I'm ok, most of the time. Sometimes feel as though it never happened then I feel fear but it's generally in the back of my mind. I'm here if you need more information. Cancer has made me a better person somehow, it's made me a happier person as I'm so grateful every day

Lovely to see you back @charlieandlola xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Thanks for taking the time to come back and update us. I was diagnosed HER2+ about 6 months ago and have just finished chemo and due surgery on Monday. Radiotherapy will follow after I’ve healed. That’s great that all is going well for you and you’re living your best life. Can I ask, did you know you had nodes involved before surgery and did you get a complete response to the chemo? I’ve pretty much convinced myself that I won’t get a complete response to the chemo as I’m sure I can still feel a tiny lump and am dreading the idea of more chemo!
Hello Daisy06
Yes I knew at diagnosis it was in the node that was swollen under my arm, it was actually the size of a large broad bean ! After surgery my results were a PCR and also nodes were clear of cancer, pathology report showed, 2 nodes had evidence of previous cancer. Its a hard thing to go thru and I still fear it at some point each day, but I'm having a nice time.
Any more questions, I'm here x
Julie @charlieandlola
Hi I remember your story my breast cancer was grade 2 triple positive, my nodes was clear. My diagnosis was nearly 18 months ago. I am just waiting for the result of my first surveillance mammogram, but will keep positive. Best wishes everyone xx
