Hi all.
Looking for some advice.i have a lumpsectomy in March and lymph nodes removed.i found a hard lump under my armpit about four weeks ago.spoke to my nurse who booked me a appointment Tuesday just gone.im now being sent for a ultrasound next week should I be worried.
Kinda freaking out alittle.
Hi Csp85 welcome to the forum and I am so sorry to hear how worried that you are but at least this is getting checked out. It is not unheard of for a seroma to develop under the arm after Lymph node removal and this is a collection of blood that can feel hard and also can be painful to touch It is entirely possible that this is what this could be. The sound will pick this up if this is what that is. Good that at least it is being checked out for you and please do let us know how you get on as we will be thinking of you. xxx
I found your post after frantically searching for reassurance of my situation. Had treatment last year for tnbc, chemo, lumpectomy and radio. Had bad nerve pain in my arm do went to see surgical registrar who found 2 enlarged lymph nodes and took biopsy. I'm terrified but also can't believe after clear lymph nodes last year and radio blast too that a secondary would occur there. Wishful thinking I suppose.
I hope you have good news x
I don't know if this helps, but I was told that if it came back in my scar or in my lymph nodes, it was still locoregional disease and that is potentially very curable still. I keep hanging on to that in case something happens. Good luck with your ultrasound. The waiting, whenever it happens, is the hardest part. x
Dear Sarah, I am so sorry to hear your news. It does feel so unfair. It is hard to stay positive all the time and it sounds as though you are doing your best to try not to worry unduly - but thats a tough one as our minds can wander. I hope the scans come through quickly so that you can get the clarity you need and a treatment plan. Thinking of you xx
