Hi, I had a lumpectomy yesterday along with a lymph node biopsy, although I’m in a fair amount of pain, I wasn’t expecting to feel so tired. I’m assuming all will improve on a daily basis. Has anyone else had this and if so how long before you felt any kind of normal?
Hi Kazzamataz, I’m sorry you’re suffering with pain and tiredness. I am sure it’ll pass soon. I’ve had several lumpectomies, but no lymph node biopsies. Each time it has been different, but I’ve just tried to go with it. Rest and don’t expect too much of your body, and you’ll soon be feeling much better.
I wish you all the best for clear margins and any ongoing treatment. Best wishes, Karen xx
I had same in July and was tired and sore first few days but it does improve day by day. I had a rest in the afternoon for the first week but also did the exercises and went out for a walk each day. By week 3 I was feeling much better and, apart from not lifting heavy things or doing ironing, I was back to doing most things. Listen to what your body is telling you and dont feel bad letting other people help x
