Hey lovelies xx
you guys are going to get fed up with me soon. I ha G V by C d surgery on Tuesday to remove 2x IDC and sentinel node biopsy by ni B.. on Wednesday I didn’t feel too bad, yesterday I felt more tired and sore. Today I ave a temperature and have been awake just a few times throughout the day. My throat is sore, obviously not unexpected. Headache, sore skin. I cannot see any obvious signs of infection at the two i
cision sites, but I do appear to have cystitis
️. Should I speak with a gp tomorrow if I still have a fever? In fact as I write this I am gradually feeling worse. Or am I being a bit over sensitive?
Dear Dawn70,
So sorry you are experiencing this, it sounds terrible. I would say most definitely contact GP or BCN or due to it been the weekend even the phone the hospital where you had your operation.
I would even suggest if you are still feeling bad when you read this phone the 111 and ask for their help - they most likely will get you to wait till in the morning.
It sounds like you could have an infection, you say you have a temperature - check to see if the operation site is at all red or swollen again this would indicate an infection. Even if it is 'just' cystitis this can be extremely painful and uncomfortable plus with all you have already gone thought you don't need unnecessary pain and upset.
Definitely contact GP etc try and get a course of antibiotics - these can only help you during these early days.
Don't get thinking your over sensitive - you have and are going through a lot - you don't need this extra upset or uncomfortableness.
Make sure you phone tomorrow and be insistent. They only know what you tell them and when you hang up they move on to the next patient - so make sure your explain it all.
Sending love and hugs
Thank you for your kind reply. I will call 111, as the glands are up in my neck too. ️. Take care of you
