Hi guys I’m looking for peace of mind. I’m 35 and have a small, soft (long but small) painless lump under my right arm. When I’m got it gets more noticeable. When my arm is lifted or skin is pulled tight it vertically disappears. My beasts are absolutely fine I check them daily.
mags anyone else has this?

  • Hi @Mitzy, I’m not qualified to give a medical opinion, but I would advise you to get it checked by a doctor. It could be anything, but it’s the only way you will know. Sorry I can’t say anything else, x

  • You have to get it checked for peace of mind.  I worried for a month before seeing GP about lump in armpit.  They referred me and turned out to be fat pad but told me right thing to do getting it checked out.  I was 40 at time and diagnosed 11 years later from routine screening as there was no lump .

  • Oh Goodness are u ok now? I will

phone docs first thing. This one is defo getting smaller.

  • Yes I'm 58 now and no evidence of disease.  Just as not all lumps are cancer not all cancer is a lump.  I can still remember 18 years ago feeling my armpit for a month then finally asking my hubby if he could feel.  He said yes.  Then my sister came over and she could feel so I saw GP next morning and 10 days later I'm at breast clinic having mammogram and ultrasound.  Given all clear that day but told to stay vigilant.

You won't feel happy until it's checked out.

  • I went to docs this morning and she had reassured me it’s nothing more than a blocked sweat gland and to close to the surface to be anything more worrying. If it’s not gone in a month or changes I’m go back for a ultrasound but she was very very reassuring

  • That’s brilliant news! Very reassuring. You did the right thing. X

  • Thanks so much. I feel much better now.

  • Glad you went.  All that worrying gone xxx
