Yes. My oncologist warned me too - though it’s inly a few days of steroids they can have a big impact on weight. I’m just trying to do my best and stay well and tackle it head on when I feel stronger/better.
I’ve just finished Chemo last week, I think I’ve gained around a stone and half, I was warned of the possibility, but also aware I have not been watching what I eat, so think it’s a combination of treatment, more rest than I would ordinarily have and calories in. I’m walking more now and more conscious I need to shift this excess so will be focusing on that now Chemo has ended. I have a way to go yet with operation looming and various scan results but really want to recognise myself after a rubbish 6 months.
When I’ve gained weight before I have been able to manage it but bloating was new so put that down to meds.
