HI Everyone
I was just wondering has anyone tried hair extensions after chemo ?
if so at what stage did u have them and how did they work out how long was ur own hair
I’m just toying with the idea
looking forward to your replies
Hi Maggie 2 welcome to the forum. Im not sure about the hair extensions, have you retained your hair and is it in a good condition? I expect that the condition of your own hair will determine whether extensions are for you or not but I can imagine that they may do more damage with your hair being fragile for example? Im not even sure if the glue used to put them in place would do any damage to your scalp.
Sorry not to have been of more help but maybe ask a Hairdresser for their opinion as they will know what's best after Chemo. xxx
I suggest you check out advice from cancerhaircare.co.uk ask know they talked about this in a seminar I went to online and they have experts that can advise and will talk your hairdresser through it if necessary. They have worked scientifically through lots of the myths around hair care after cancer so well worth checking them out.
