Hello, this is my first message, so hello from North East Scotland.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last October.  Have had 6 sessions of chemotherapy, 15 sessions of radiotherapy and I have to continue with Targeted drug Phesgo, as I am HER11 receptive positive.  I wonder if anyone else has had side effects from the Phesgo injections that cause terrible pricking itching on skin.  Mine is on both arms and keeps me awake at night.  If you have any ideas of treating this I would love to hear from you.  Many thanks.

My side affects of phesgo are strange lines under the skin on both thighs…like string with knots in! Referred it to macmillan who wondered about DVT but theyve disappeared in the last month. They may return with my next phesgo (I’ve finished chemo) each time…weird! I think the long injection is the culprit but if in doubt, ask. Best wishes x

  • Thank you for sharing your reaction to Phesgo .  I have asked , but no-one seems to have the answer.  I was told just to stay out of direct sunlight, cover up and stay in the shade.  I hope you go well.  Best wishes, x

  • My treatment sounds very similar to yours but I’m due my last phesgo in two weeks.

I get a large red circle around the injection site which goes after a few days and I think I feel a bit more tired than usual that week but ok apart from that.

  • Thank you Gilliebean, great that you have got through the injections and last one coming up.  I have 12 more to go so hoping this horrible reaction wont happen every time.  Go well
