Hi all
i had a double mastectomy 7 weeks ago recovered well had first chemo last Friday , felt a bit tired sickly also on injections to boost white cells , does chemo effect the tightness in the chest , I was doing my exercises until a couple of days ago as I was under the weather now my chest feels like the tight band feeling is really back with a vengeance, it never went but was manageable, chemo really has me feeling lethargic and everything just aches a bit any advice or tips anyone ?
thanks
Just try to get back to the exercises really gently - I’ve had a single mastectomy and am now on chemo too and it’s hard but I know if I miss a day I am much tighter the next morning. I was also having problems with my back (lopsided now) and see a physio for that - it might be worth asking if you can see a physio face to face - mind is through the GP. She’s very bossy and always reminding me that it isn’t about how far you stretch or how many reps you do but that you are maintaining and keeping mobility until you are at the stage you are ready to build us strength again. So if you possibly can just get started slowly again and maybe ask for some personal physio
Thanks for the reply , I will gently try to continue stretches hopefully that will help x
