Hi, this is my first post.
I had a lumpectomy and axillary mode clearance on 20th July 2022. The surgery went well but when i went back for follow up appointment with my surgeon, i was told that the cancer is a grade 3 instead of 2. I was sent for a CT scan last saturday and haven’t had any results back yet. I have now got an initial appointment to meet my Chemotherapy doctor on Monday to discuss my treatment.Do you think that they will have the results of my CT scan or will a member of my breast cancer team contact me? So worried
Hi Woody71 welcome to the forum and sorry to hear how worried that you are. Time waiting for results to come back seems endless to us but routine for the docs and hospitals its an awful time in limbo for you. I can imagine that they may have these results back on Monday but they may not as yet.
Im wondering if this session with the Oncologist on Monday is a planning meeting for you to discuss things together, but as we all know this can be subject to change as time evolves so it would not be unusual for things to change when all the results are back or it may not need to be as intensive.
Hang in there not long to go now and please do come back and let us know how you get on. xxx
