Hi there,
I had my lymph nodes in my arm pit plus a mastectomy and reconstruction in November then radiotherapy in February. Recently the area has become very tight and mire sore than usual. I have had a cold so I’ve put it down to this. Has anyone else experienced this?
Also forgot to say that I did leave hospital with 2 drains still in. We were given drain bags (made by a kind former patient) to carry ours but a light fabric shopping bag would do. They are okay. I was worried it would hurt to have them removed but that was minor.
You also need to be aware that initially you can’t put any weight on your reconstructed side. This was a pain because I needed help to get out of bed to go to the loo.Had to wake my husband up in the night!
Glad my previous comments helped.
Best wishes to you.
xx
