I got results of the receptor tests back, come back double negative ,got to wait till late Monday fine out what happens next.No support from work just does that mean you will be going off sick. Anyone else had this kind of result.
Sorry your work has responded like that. You need to think about yourself and put you first- always. I found it so hard to make the decision as to when to stop work and claim sick pay, but I did find it helpful to continue working for as long as possible before my treatment started. I wasnlucky that my work were so supportive. I had surgery first, then chemo so didn't work during either but I do work face to face with vulnerable people so didnt really have a choice. The waiting for results and treatment plans to be put in place are the worst. Try not to panic or forward think what your treatment plan will be or what the receptor test results mean because everyone is so different amd plans are individualised. Take it all one day at a time amd try and enjoy the weekend sunshine. Good luck for Monday
Thank you, feel like I’m in a never ending nightmare and will wake up and this is not happening but I know it is. The hardest thing is not telling my sister, she had a massive stroke last May and her short term memory is not good and don’t want to upset her as she is struggling herself. And she is in a nursing home. Hope you’re doing ok take care x
