Rib muscle inflammation

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can shed light on this. I had a lumpectomy and Snb in September last year and radiotherapy in December. I’ve recently felt that the skin around my ribs is inflamed. I don’t know if this is a heat reaction to the radiotherapy. I went to the GP yesterday and they weren’t concerned but I just wondered if anyone else has had this.

I'm nearly 3 years post ops and treatment and I have to say I still feel tender and sore in some areas, been told its to be expected, simple painkillers help though.

Its good to know. It can be difficult to navigate what you should worry about that hurts and what’s to be expected.

This is really useful, thank you as I suffer from rib pain a year after surgery and radiotherapy
