Is it just me?!

It's not just you. You are not being over sensitive. Somehow people feel that our cancer gives them license to talk about our bodies in a way they would never contemplate doing otherwise.

Since when is it okay for anybody else to talk about my breasts?

I do recognise that our loved ones may not know what to say or how to feel and it's all quite awkward, and mostly meant well. But I do wish people would think before they speak sometimes.

I agree with radge. I would hope for the majority of people that their intention is to make light of a really bad situation in probably the most inappropriate way possible and that no malice or embarrassment is intended. I don’t think you are being sensitive, I just think others don’t really know what to say for the best. X

I know they mean well but boobs are a  little personal aren't they?!  I'm going to charge a fiver a peek if they keep asking  x

Haha! One of them doesn't know that I've had my nipple removed so that will be an extra cost! I need the cash the other side's already getting lonely down there  x

Really don’t think you’re being over sensitive. People say the most inappropriate things. I’VE just lost my hair from chemo and someone said (whilst looking at my crotch) … but are you bald everywhere now !  I’m due to have a mastectomy in the autumn too and already have heard lots of opinions abkut what people think I should do….!!!?!! Sorry people are being so annoying around you! Xx

How rude.  I would say ' will you feel pleased if you get cancer !'  No-one knows what's around the corner!
