On Friday I had a PICC line put in and I now am searching for a water proof cover. It would seem from my discussion with the local chemists that they are not available at their suppliers. Has any one recently bought one and been pleased with the result. Amazon are full of PICC line covers but working out what will work is a challenge.
What a journey having cancer is.
Hi ricki
I was prescribed one by the hospital and the pharmacy gave me a Limbo waterproof cover, which worked fine.
I also ordered some (very cheap) coloured cotton PICC line covers from Anna Bandana, which helped protect the dressing but also meant I could wear short sleeves without it being obvious I was undergoing chemo.
best of luck xx
Thank you so much for your quick response. I also was prescribed one by the hospital. However in the NE London area there are supply problems which the pharmacists don't want to sort out. Limbo are kindly sending me a complimentary cover. Doesn't somehow feel right but that is how it is. Post code lottery yet again. I like the idea of the Anna Bandana covers as well. I will look into them.
