Hello,
I had a nipple sparing mastectomy end of April, implant and SLN removal, due to IDC and DSCI being found under the nipple on the pathology, I had to have a 2nd op to remove that and replace the implant to a smaller one at the end of May. I've been doing ok but the last few days something doesn't feel quite right, I'm getting a lot of sharp pains around the implant and also burning sensation sometimes, it also feels quite tight. I started on Tamoxifen 4 weeks ago but I don't think that would cause the pains. I'm doing the exercises everyday. I'm now worried I have the start of Capsular Contracture but I don't think that can start so early after op?? Any else experienced this?
Hi Lindsgab welcome to the forum .Do you still have a link to the Breast Nurse or team that treated you at all. If you do I would give them a call asap and get them to have a look for you. I don't know what it could be but it needs someone with medical knowledge to have a look for you and treat this as required for you.
If you dont have the breast team to hand then call the GP and insist on being seen. xxx
