Hi everyone i have just got back from the hospital and woundered if anyone can help me i was diagnosed with a 24mm breast tumor in April had my first surgery 13th may waited for my results and it came back 6 o'clock was to close to margin so got to have a second surgery tomorrow but the consultant said if the results come back to close again i have got to have my left breast removed as anybody had second surgery successfully x
Hi Jo yes it is very disheartening the maddening thing is the waiting i at to wait 8 weeks to get my second surgery you keep trying to think positive but then things keep getting thrown back its one step forward 1 step back but i guess we just have to pray and let the surgeon's do there best x

I think they like to get clear biopsy readings around the affected area. My second op, they called a "shave", so I imagine they shaved off a bit more around the affected area. Hope this helps. And, it's not daft and don't be sorry, it's good we can ask these questions and get others' experiences. X
