6 months ago, I had a tumour removed from my left breast, followed by radiotherapy. I have declined A. I. meds due to adverse side effects from an earlier bout of cancer 6 years ago.
My problem is this: my left breast is swollen and hot to the touch. I also have a largish hard lump at the base of the breast and the whole area is tender to the touch.
According to my oncologist it is normal to have some side effects up to 3 months after treatment has finished (which was in February), but it concerns me that I am still having some problems.
Anyone else had the same experience?
I haven’t had the same issue as you post surgery but I wanted to urge you to contact your team about this and/or your gp, you need to get it checked out, something isn’t right. It may be nothing sinister but you need to know for sure. It sounds at the least like you have some form of infection maybe, I’m not medical. Sorry this has happened, let us know how you get on, don’t let them keep you waiting x
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
