Punch biopsy

Hi @DS38, I’m not medically qualified so can’t say much. I think Punch biopsies are used to diagnose various conditions involving the skin. Did they use the word ‘punch’ - it’s just that a core biopsy does sound like a paper hole puncher or loud stapler going off. It flipping made me jump the first time I heard it.  I’m sorry if this is no help to you.

Hi, I can’t remember hearing the word punch, I did have something that was like a stapler, so maybe it was a core biopsy. If anything you have eased my mind a little. Thank you

I’ve had 4. No problems had lumpectomy and reduction in March, 5 rounds of radiotherapy and taking tamoxifen. All done and dusted.

I had a biopsy and a vaccum biopsy as I had two areas both turned out grade 1. I know how hard it is not to worry. I wasn’t great the first month. But you get stronger with the results and plan going forward x
