Hi all. Wanted to jump on to say hello I was diagnosed with invasive malignant melanoma at the end of 2021 and now facing the possibility of suspected breast cancer. My doctor referred me Friday for an emergency breast clinic appointment saying I should hopefully hear in the next week or two. Obviously feeling apprehensive. I couldn’t feel any lump, however I’ve had a dry itchy nipple for some time now and lately very sensitive even putting bras on or catching it on clothing. Night sweats fevers. Dimpling underneath and swelling to the left. Doctor had a good feel Friday and said she could feel and see differences in my left compared to my right and had a good feel in and around my armpit. My dr referred me for suspected melanoma and was spot on and now this. Trying to stay positive but struggling this evening. Thanks Rachael

  • Hi Chalky, just read your bio! What a journey you’ve had. Was so relieved to hear your last biopsy from your last journey came back clear! Take heart, you’ll probably come through this journey well too! You’ll get lots of support and questions answered on this forum. I’ve been doing the breast cancer boogie for 8 months now and I think I’m finally through it. I’ve done the mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and it’s not been that bad. Fingers crossed you’ll maybe not need any of that, but if you do, you’ll get through it. Best of luck to you, keep us posted and surround yourself with positive people who can really help you think about other things apart from all the s**t that’s going on. Just know you’ll be OK! xxxx

  • Hi thank you so much for reaching out. Keeping everything crossed. Good luck on your journey Rach x
