Anxiety on Tamoxifen

I’ve been taking Tamoxifen for about a month and am having sudden random panicky anxiety type episodes. I’ve never had them before , I feel impatient and irritable too . Is this something that anyone else has experienced and if so does it eventually settle down as I’m finding it difficult to cope with.

I suspect it is due to the oestrogen deficiency, which means your tablets are doing their job. I think the worst of the side effects gradually settle. Have you talked to your BCN about it and have you considered acupuncture or CBD? They might help you get through this patch whilst your body is getting used to the hormone treatment. x

Hi Zephyr ,

I spoke to the nurse today and she also mentioned acupuncture could be helpful so I will definitely look into it. Hopefully it will settle when my body adjusts to the Tamoxifen.
