Hi all, I’ve finished my radiotherapy but my breast is itching like crazy, the creams cold flannels do not help. I’m sweating like crazy and itching can any one offer any advice
You can try taking an anti histamine tablet which should reduce the itching. Put your creams in the fridge so they are nice and cold. Maximum reaction is usually approx 3 weeks after treatment finishes so hopefully you should start to feel better soon
I take an antihisitine every day ..on kadcyla and had severe bouts of red from top to toe . The antihisitime petition etc helps and ice cloths on affected parts for me it was trial and error what worked .
I really feel for you! I finished radiotherapy 2.5 weeks ago and my boob was sooooo itchy I could have scratched my nipple off ;-)
I called my radiotherapy nurses and they gave me some hydrogel cool patches and some hydrogel gel. They helped massively. Might be worth giving your team a shout?
Also, take antihistamines and keep on moisturising. I also put Aloe Vera gel in the fridge and that was really soothing.
