Hello I was sent for a Dexa bone density scan after ZA no 1. I was half a point outside the ok range so just showing signs of osteopoenia . I just had no 2 infusion and my next Dexa is booked for two years time. My oncologist says she expects my bone density to be improved and in the ok range on that second Dexa. I’m not sure what other ways there are of measuring effectiveness
Hi, I think the only way of seeing any change is a dexa bone density scheme, as HistoryWomen says. I had my first dexa before starting ZA (as a baseline) and I don't have another one planned but I assume it will be at the end (it's a 3 year treatment for me)
Thanks all. I discovered today that my tumour markers went down from 44 to 25 since starting ZA! Learnt about tumour markers today, but wondering why all this wasn’t explained to me before starting ZA. At least I know now!
