Hair loss with targeted therapy?

My hair is just beginning to grow back after chemo, I’m due to continue with my targeted therapy tomorrow, 13 more sessions of Trastuzumab and Pertuzumab which I’ve only ever had with my Docetaxel.

im reading conflicting information on whether I will lose my hair again with these 2 drugs on their own (also on Letrozole, Zometa and son to star Radiotherapy)

  • I have been receiving Phesgo injections which are the same as Trastuzumab and Pertuzumab for the last 3 months  and I haven' suffered any hair loss, in fact it's growing back at a considerable rate. I can't help with the other drugs or Radiotherapy as I haven't received any of these. Hope this helps.

  • I will be having number 14 of my Phesgo injections next week. I used the cold cap and my hair thinned during chemo. My hair is really growing back now and thickening up, can’t do a thing with it. Some of it is shoulder length and some of it is short and spikey but still really pleased to have it coming back!

The Phesgo definitely hasn’t stopped it growing back.

  • Thank you that reassured me. Good luck with you continuing treatment

  • Thank you for replying, it’s reassured me, I hope your treatment continues to go well
