Dry eyes and pollen count

Is anyone suffering big time because of the combination of dry eyes, over watering and the high pollen count. I’ve no eyelashes or nasal hair and although I’ve been using eye drops recommended for dry eyes the combination of all these factors is causing major problems. Apparently the grass pollen count is worse in the mornings. Feel like becoming nocturnal at the moment as it’s got so bad!

  • Hi

I’m finished chemo butt had dry eye before that was made worse during hair loss . Hair and lashes all back now but still suffer from dry eye and some hay fever . Optician this morning recommended warm water on cotton wool pads over eyes apparently it helps .
    best of luck

  • Hi Baldbabe

I have prescription antihistamine eye drops from Drs called catacrom, they are free from preservatives as obviously I am allergic to preservatives.

I useThealoz duo gel eye drops for dry eyes which my optician recommended and you can buy them on line. I find them really soothing.

Hope you find something to help.x

  • I also had/have this issue, I found using Theloz Duo has helped as well as antihistamine tablets and drops x

  • Invest in a gel pack for your eyes, you heat in the microwave and it is so soothing.  Loads of drops to help but close your windows at might before the dampness comes down and if you have washing out bring it in before the dampness comes down. I find keeping well hydrated and a warm shower in the morning really helps. Don't know if yiou can have antihistamines but they.can help too. Wesr your sunglasses or any glasses to help the contact with your eyes. Keep using your drops throughout the day and remember to blink!! I can't have drops with preservatives in as makes the problem worse so maybe worth checking for you. Hope that helps
