Well I started this journey back in February. Started of so positive , on a high even…. Had the op in end March.
Been off work since as my mental state has been on a roller coaster. Even though some people think I should have gone back.
I start on radiation next week , so unsure what that will bring .
but while being of work I have taken the chance to get to see the doctors in the afternoon when I could get an appointment
and dealt with the niggle things that we tend to put off.
I am sure they think I am mad when they ask and how long have you had this and I answer oh a long time like years but
just sorting it.
so I have had a steroid injection in my shoulder after having an X-ray. Found out why my back hurts so much .
by the time back at work hoping no more appointments .
It’s nice to know you haven’t had the added hassle of chemo which takes a lot of time out of a couple of two days, the first To do bloods and check you're ok for chemo and then the actual day. Having RT I’m assuming means no chemo after? Always to ask macmillan staff, they’re your best ‘go to’ with any questions. You will get truth and honesty. Yes, it sure is a rollercoaster of emotions which I guess we have to tolerate and bite the bullet! I wish you well and don’t let work out you under pressure to return if you’re struggling xxx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
