I have awful health anxiety as it is...here goes...so I am a regular gym goer and lift fairly heavy weights etc...I also have the Mirena Coil which I've had for a year now.. I still get very light periods along with other PMS symptoms. So I am "on a very light period" at the moment I thought I would check my breasts in the shower and I'm not sure if I can now feel something in my left breast....it feels kind of oval and is movable. But now I feel physically sick and convinced myself it's breast cancer......my partner regularly does check my boobs and so do I. I also went for a breast augmentation a few months ago and the surgeons did checky breats then and didn't day anything. But now I can feel "something different" and it's making me really really anxious and worry and now I've completely sent myself crazy with worry. I keep checking it and checking it which is now making it sore. Could it just be hormonal? I'm so scared. I am 42, very fit other wise :0(

  • It’s probably best to see your GP. Hopefully it won’t be anything to worry about but if it is they will refer you promptly. In the meantime try not to worry about it.

  • Sounds more likely to be a cyst but you need to get it checked. Hope it's OK x

  • You should go and get checked by your GP. Aside from that being the right thing to do, doing something about it will make you feel more in control.
