Hi
has anyone had this? I am booked to have it in 6 weeks just wondered how other people found it.
Hello, Jaxs. Had my first infusion almost five weeks ago with little problem, really. A couple of days of acheyness (not sure that's a real word!), one episode of high temperature (soon over with paracetamol and bed) and some lower back aching. Can never be sure the lower back ache might be due to the drug, or to too much gardening, or simply being too fat!
Hi Ajax’s,
I had my first infusion Monday afternoon. Felt achy with a temperature that night and a bit the same on Tuesday but was up and about. Took paracetamol which helped and today back to normal. X
I've had 2 and had no side effects after the first one and I only noticed a dip in mood after the 2nd. I didn't get any aches or pains or other side effects.
I also had to have a root canal treatment 2 months before my 2nd one, and had no problems with that.
Hi Jaxs
Due no 6 and final on 20/6 ..get a bit achy and fluey for a couple of days week max . Have had some bone pain but unit said no prob it just doing it’s job .
Would say that at the moment coming up to next infusion I feel more “normal “ so possible underlying fatigue issue don’t really know .
Don’t forget we all react differently but I haven’t read of anyone having bad SE from bisphosphonate.
Make sure you go to dentist for check if you haven’t already been as no invasive treament is the recommendation whilst on the infusions . I lost one filling and one infusion was delayed by couple weeks .
wishing you well
I’m due my 3rd on Monday. First one I felt weary a few hours after, some aches but was ok after a few days. 2nd I was ok until about 5 hours after when I needed to crawl under the duvet! I had some nausea but it helped to sip peppermint tea. I took paracetamol when needed and felt ok after 5 days. 3rd ??
I have ZA every 6 weeks or near enough due to motorhome trips already booked.
J
