Zolendronic acid

Hello Moonstone5656, I've had two infusions so far and felt slightly achy/fluey for a couple of days after the first one but had no side effects after the second one. As with any medication side effects will vary from person to person though. Is there a specific potential side effect that you are worried about? If so maybe a chat with your nurse would help? x

Lalalou thanks for your reply ye  I've just  found out I've got nodules on my lungs n bronchiectasis so bit worried incase I.ll get bad side affects so think I will ask before I go ahead x

I've had 2 infusions, due my 3rd soon. No side effects for first one and only noticed a slight dip in mood for about a week with the 2nd. No aches or pains. 

I had a root canal 2 months before my 2nd with no issues. 

The zoledronic acid not only protects your bones from osteoporosis but it also helps prevent breast cancer coming back in your bones. I was a bit skeptical about taking it at first as I think I have good bones from lots of weight bearing activities.

However, once I knew it was also to stop the cancer coming back, I was all for it.

Thanks for your reply I'm going ahead with it now as I spoke to oncologist today as I've got a few issues going on and she advised me to have it so hopefully all goes well.. X

Hi I’ve had 4 and no side effects that I’m aware of as getting chemo till 8 th June last one . And with that it’s just tiredness x

Hi, I was interested in your reply as I had my 2nd one last week and similarly, I had flu like symptoms from the fist but all fine with the second. Best wishes 

I have had 7  infusions…a little bit flu..y after but apart from all good and dream of it doing lots of good!
