I am 10 weeks post chemo, my eyelashes have just started to grow back. I am excited Grin how long did your eyelashes take to get back to full length.

  • My eyelashes are still not the same length as they were before chemo, but then again, I have had so much chemo that I am more toxic than a gossip blog Sweat smile It's happening, but it's taking time.

Getting my hair back to how it was before chemo will take even longer. It was nearly waist length before, now it feels and looks like a newborn's scalp. As long as it keeps growing, and in the right places, I am good. (One of the family youngsters, upon hearing that hair sometimes grows "differently" after chemo, wanted to know if I was going to grow a beard Joy )

  • It was about 5 months before I could wear mascara. Eyelashes and eyebrows took longer than hair to start growing thRolling eyesough hair very slow at first too.

I used an eye serum in the end and they grew back longer and darker than before. I stopped using it and now they are back to pre chemo normal.

  • Oh which serum did you use, and did it work, I've seen lots advertised, but didn't think they actually worked.

  • Kids have a way to make us smile. I wear a part wig to cover my thinned hair, I cold capped, I still lost quite a bit, but easily covered it with a hair topper. I actually like it better than my ownRoflair Rofl

i didn't think I would miss my brows and lashes as much as I do, I didn't have long lush lashes to begin with, bit when I lost them I was more upset than I was with the hair loss.

  • I used UKLash. I don't think it made them grow any faster, but they did come back in darker and longer than pre-chemo so it definitely did something! I stopped using the serum once I was finished the bottle (which lasted for months) and my eyelashes are now normal length and normal light colour again
