Hi I haven’t been on here for a while as things got a bit to much for me but am feeling a lot better now and thought I would come back on .

I finished chemo , had surgery and radiation and now on Kadcyla .

It must be a joy to get it all out of the way!  When did your journey first start? How’s Kadcyla treating you?

  • Hi I was diagnosed with grade 2 , hert 2 positive and er positive end of August last year .

I thought once what was left of the tumour was removed ( clear margins , 14 lymph nodes removed only 1 infected ) I’d feel fantastic and relieved but instead I just felt scared and couldn’t get it into my head that the cancer was gone , I’m getting better now but still work in progress with my anxiety .

The Kadcyla hasn’t been to bad but did have an issue with my bloods last week that made me feel a bit rough .

Where are you with your treatment ?

I know of someone else who when her 5 yrs of treatment was up she was told her cancer was gone and she, like you found it really hard to accept.  I guess time will help to acknowledge the facts of which one has lived with for so long. I discovered a breast lump which GP said it’s a ‘mass’ not a lump, Xmas 2021. Was told in Feb ‘22 prior to mastectomy, that it was Stage 2, 6cm mass. After op was told it’s actually Stage 3 with 7.5cm mass and out of 5 lymph nodes 1 infected. Now on chemo till July followed by radiotherapy. I really hope you can find a way through anxiety. Yoga, breathing techniques? There may be something out there to assist you on your fabulous onward journey!  I sincerely wish you well Dawnlou xx

  • Thank you , how are you finding your chemo treatment ? x
