Hi guys!
im 5 months post treatment, finished radiotherapy December 30th after chemo and surgery and I’m still really tender. My boob is really hard and the area I’m guessing from radiotherapy is super tender. My bras make area sore so gone up a size but still hasn’t helped. I’m struggling to get hold of any specialist nurse, leaving answer phone messages, even emailed as work for NHS so thought I would get a response through internal mail but no joy.
Any advice would be welcome and if anyone experienced the same. I’m worried
thankyou in advance
xx
Hi boxie83
im 10 months post chemo surgery radiotherapy and more chemo until June. I’ve always been tender in the breast too and occasional aches as I’m nhs worker on nightshift in community. I’ve found it’s more achy as back at work. Things like putting seatbelt on about 15 times a night, lifting bags, certain procedures all add to it. My boob not hard but I’m thinking it might be where your RT was.
however you certainly need to get it checked. If no response from nurses, phone the consultant secretary as I know the worrying is awful.
take care and hope you get answer soon x
Thank you for your reply. I think I will have to contact oncologist secretary like you said. I know they are all busy and I’m guessing I’m not classed as a priority but would be good to get some answers. Take it easy too, I gave up nights, you are a real trooper if you are still doing them
xx
