Hi, I'm totally stressed out. I had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy 4 and half weeks ago and I'm still waiting for results. I've had 2 appointments at hospital since this only to be told I'm sorry we've no histology back. I'm a very positive person but this is seriously testing me. Has anybody had to wait this long for results
Hi Misha2019, sorry to hear you're having a long wait for your results. I was told 2-3 weeks but got mine 5 weeks to the day from my op, lumpectomy, lymph node removal and therapeutic mammoplasty.. HER2 neg ER positive lymph node negative. I then had to wait for my Oncotype test to come back which was another 4 weeks and thankfully a low score. Starting Radiotherapy in 2 weeks and already on Anastrozole. The waiting is the hardest but try and stay positive and I hope your results are back soon and are all good .
I can relate Misha2019 not for biopsy results am glad to say but for genetic testing as I was triple negative with family history of cancer I was given the genetic blood test and told results would be sent to me in 6-8 weeks 12weeks and the hospital has had results passing on only your fine details but no proper letter for me it just did my head in hope you get your results soon
Hi misha
hope you hear back soon. The wait is the worst. Have you been given an initial diagnosis after biopsy.
I had my op on 03/05 so hoping for results on 18/05
I have put In For oncotype test. Not sure when I’ll receive those results
All results are back soon and are as good as can be x
Hi, I'm waiting to see whether I e got clear margins from the lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy. The MRI I had didn't show any in lymph nodes but obviously they can't be sure until they get the results. Hopefully I will hear this next week. Staying as positive as I can be and getting out and about x
Hi
I've had MRI today, hoe long did it take your results come back, surgeon said 2 weeks, bcn said could be a week x?
Hi, it took just over a week for results of MRI. Hope you hear soon and fingers crossed xx
Hi Misha2019. I had the same operation as you on 20th April. I phoned the hospital after 3 weeks and they said my appointment letter was in the post for this Thursday (19th). I am er positive and waiting to see if I will need radiotherapy as well as hormone treatment.
I hope you get your results soon. The waiting is the worst part.
