Can anyone recommend a good intensive conditioner. Finished chemo 31st January, hair has pretty much stopped coming out now but it's very dry and looks tired.....a lot like me!! I'm using simple shampoo and conditioner but feel like I need something more
Thanks xxx
Hi Lfc74, I finished chemo in December and have been using Toni & Guy Damage Repair Mask. It's a thick cream that you leave in for 5 minutes and has prevented my hair from getting dried out. I've also been using Aveeno shampoo for damaged hair (rather than the additive-free shampoo I used during chemo) and stuck to washing my hair just once a week which also seems to have helped, plus I've been avoiding using the hairdryer. I recently went to the hairdresser for the first time in nearly a year and they commented on what good condition my hair was in so the products seem to be working! Hope that helps x
I use Curlsmith products now, they don't have any nasties in them and I've chosen to only use their conditioning wash rather than using any shampoo at all on my hair since it has grown back.
They have a great repair/strengthening treatment called Bond Curl which I've started using once a week.
I also used Shea Moisturiser 10 in 1 for a long time, it's all I used for a few months. It was great for me hair.
I recently went to the hairdressers for the firdt time since chemo and she couldn't believe how good my hair was.
