Hi
Does anyone have experience of changing areola colour? In the last few weeks I have two patches of lighter skin on one areola and one patch on the other. It’s strange. One of the lighter patches on the left one may feel “thickened” however I’m not sure if I’m being paranoid. I know this isn’t a classic sign and lm loathe to waste the time of NHS resources so thought I’d ask here before starting to worry myself!
thanks x
My old GP once told me, "I'd rather someone came in 9 times out of 10 for absolutely nothing, than that person not coming in the 10th time and it was something." Same sentiment from nearly everyone I know in the NHS, and in fact, they are happier to confirm that, "it's nothing, but you did well to come in and have it looked at!" than giving a diagnosis of something amiss. You will not be wasting anyone's time by having it checked. If there is something there that needs action, you will have caught it now rather than later. If this is completely innocent, you will have full confidence and will be able to take your attention off of it once they explain what it is.
