Good morning everyone, I wondered has anyone else experienced this:It is 6 days before my surgery so I have been getting things ready for post surgery. I bought an in ear thermometer and thought I would try it out, my readings are showing in my left ear 38.5 and I don’t seem to be getting them down took my temperature again this morning the same. It isn’t faulty as I checked it on my husband! I don’t feel Iill could this be the cancer? HER2+ grade 1and grade11 8mm & 11mm primary - diagnosed 5th April after routine mammogram.
Thank you in advance
I'm not medical so why don't you put your mind at rest and contact bcn, or gp. It doesn't sound quite right. Is there a chance it's Covid without other symptoms? Anyway, you're not making a fuss. A temperature isn't normally that high....unless you've strapped a hot water bottle around your waist or are wearing fur lined vest and knickers you've forgotten about!
Hope all is well but it get checked professionally.
Take care
I was recommended to get a thermometer and advised to check regularly because paracetamol can mask a temperature. Good job I did as mine regularly low between 35.4 and 36.1. Had to ring helpline to discuss couple of times. Best to be safe, than sorry by regularly monitoring. Jo
