I'm not a negative person, fairly opposite actually, however is anyone else a young single parent that feels like relationships were slim and now the cancers here they are going to be non existent??
Over the last 20 years I've had a series of not nice relationships, but have always had hope there might be a nice guy that would love me as much as I do them. Now I have cancer my body will be missing bits my hair will be gone, ill have a harder time going on holiday have linked health issues, I feel like I've been cheated in so many ways. I have very few in my support network, none of who I can talk to who have an idea that sometimes I just want someone to hold me and see a future, I will never be with anyone who will know me before cancer.
Hi Tracey, so sorry to read your post, and that you have been diagnosed with cancer. Reading the posts from people who have been through this, there is light at the end of the tunnel and we do get through this.
im also a single parent and have been for 12 years. Other than a couple of relationships. One long term
but for the past 4 years I have been by myself with my 12 year old son and 23 year old who obviously lives his own life. it never bothered me before until now. When the chips are really down. I miss that contact off someone who really wants the best for you and us there to make you strong. It makes you realise how lonely life really is. Hoping this will change after we fight this. my op is in the 3 May. Then another ling wait for results it’s a struggling time to stay brave so my son doesn’t know there’s a problem. but I try to be positive and there will be an end to this. there are some lovely ladies on this site so pleased don’t feel lonely. Ahh I feel for you, and I totally understand you feeling that way, it's so hard just to be going through the cancer journey, I can promise you that there will be someone who will love you for you whatever happens to you I know its hard to believe this but there are good people out there, just try and focus on getting through this period first.
