Hi I know thist may sound daft but it really is a serious question!
How long do other people find they are still forgetting words or names etc which was apparently due to chemo but my last chemo was 1 June! I did have radiotherapy in August and have been having herceptin injections too. So am I just imagining this ? I would really like to hear what others have to say about this please? Thank you
When I grilled my oncologist about how long each of different side effects could last, he said some might take up to a year, but he was unable to say that it would surely not go past a year.
I'd make contact with the breast nurse, or perhaps call the Macmillan phone line to discuss with one of their nurses, see if either one can give you some idea of what you can expect and when.
You aren't imagining things! it could be chemo brain or perhaps menopause. Is hard to say but the forgetfulness can linger and is such a pain. I called a horse a dog the other day,,much to the amusement of my children. Also 4 legged creature so I didn't think I was that far off the mark on reflection!
