Hi all, I’m on day 5 after my first round of fortnightly Paclitaxel (after 4 rounds of EC) Not had any nausea with it but since yesterday have been feeling quite achy - have others had this? And how long did the aches last? They gave me cocodamol in my meds to take home, saying it can cause aches & pains so I guess it’s to be expected.
Thanks in advance for any experiences!
Hi RunAndBecome
I had a pretty easy time on fortnightly paclitaxel, especially compared to EC. But I was achy on day 5-6. It felt like super-mild flu, and my case it was mild enough that I didn’t need more than a couple of paracetamol. Funnily enough - and despite the fact that side effects are supposed to be cumulative - I found the achiness reduced each time, so it was hardly noticeable by my third session and I didn’t suffer at all after my fourth. Hope your aches wear off as quickly as mine did - best of luck for the rest of your course x
Thanks for your reply - yes it feels like a mild flu but without the headcold. Good to hear it passed - still feeling it a bit today but not as bad so hoping it goes away!
