Hi
Im new here. I was recently diagnosed with er positive invasive ducal cancer. I had my surgery first and have my appointment on Wednesday where I will find out further treatments required. They have told me that I will definitely need hormone blockers and radiotherapy but they have done a test to see whether chemo will or won’t be required. Has anyone else been in the same position? The being in limbo thing is more scary than anything else.
Much love to all and I hope you’re all coping well.
Hi Dandilion, yes I’m from South Shields. Are you? X
I’m from Sunderland, but had my surgery in the RVI Newcastle. x
Same here. Cant wait to find out further treatment plan so that I know what’s happening. How are you getting on? X
Yeah that’s where I was at pre-op. It will be a 3 week wait from op to getting consultation regarding op results and further treatment recommendations for me. Mind they did advise me of that. I hope your operation goes well. Good luck All of the waiting between appointments plays on my mind I must say x
The waiting and not knowing is horrendous. After biopsy the dr said it’s two small areas grade 1 but can change after op with pathology results. I’m seeing the consultant on Wednesday so hopefully will find our more. It’s just nerve wracking. Then another long wait for pathology results after the op.
please let me know how you get on when was your op
x
My op was a few weeks ago. I had a lumpectomy. I will let you know how I get on.
