Hello, I just wondered what the recovery time was for this procedure, I have mine on the 5th of May, also any tips for recovery and keeping the wound heathy.
Thank you
HI Tilly, I had this done on both breasts on 8th February had 6 weeks of work, still being careful on lifting anything to heavy but healing for me was good. Had dressing changed day I left hospital left with showerproof dressings, I did nothing to dressing for a week then saw surgeon who redressed it and again did nothing to it kept it dry as not showerproof dressing then following week dressings removed and could finally have a proper shower but not to soak the wound. Take it easy don't over do it, I felt fine pain wise more tender and sore really but it was the the tiredness that got me, I think that may be due to sleeping sort of sitting up as laying flat or on my side not possible for several weeks and having to wear a bra 24/7 takes a bit of getting used to.... But all in all nowhere near as bad as I thought. Hope all goes ok with your op...
