Soo 20 days since Mastectomy and reconstruction for DCIS Extensive spread.. been doing really well until last night, I discovered a unpleasant smell coming from my boob and boob itself was getting more painful. I rang NHS who got a dr to ring me back who sent a new antibiotic prescription to my drs.. she said it definitely sounds like a affection, nurse came to change dressing and she said it look okay.. but how can she tell when she cant even see the wound as it has stiri strip right across it. Luckily I am seeing my consultant tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone else got a infection after surgery. Soo scared of getting sepsis xxx
Hi Pip57 welcome to the forum and sorry that you have not had a reply as yet. Im assuming that you have seen your Consultant by now and wondered how you had gotten on with them and what did they have to say?
I've also been to have my dressing changed and though I could smell something each time I'm told it's healing well and all fine. Today it feels hot, tender and a little red but nitvarvtue surgery site. I have a slight temperature. I called GP and also got antibiotics. They also took a swab x
