Hi to you all. This is very new to me having recently been diagnosed with breast cancer Ribbon. Triple negative, bone scan tomorrow,  waiting for ct scan. Awaiting an appointment with oncologist.

Still trying to process. Have bouts of anxiety, I am 53, 2 beautiful girls, 20 & 25, they are absolutely amazing, makes it easier for me to cope with knowing they are okay.

  • Morning Donny

im sorry to hear you find yourself here too.
hopefully all other tests are good

    I’m 53 with two boys

im going in today for results and feeling shaky and sick to my stomach

I was told by radiologist she didn’t like what she saw. I have two small areas that are being tested. Gutted is an understatement

Do you have an idea yet what the op will be or have you not been told anything until the oncologist meeting x

  • Good luck hope it goes as well as it can x

  • Hi  I hope you are doing ok this evening x

  • Thank you so much for your concern. Still a bit in shock. But the diagnosis came back a lot better than what I expected. Funny being told you have cancer and feel a bit relieved at the same time. X

  • Thank you so much for your concern. This forum is a massive help. Full of kind hearts x

  • Hi  hope your scan goes well today

    Hi Army,

It's been a hectic couple of days, hence only just replying. Saw oncologist yesterday to discuss my plan for chemo.

I have grade 3, triple negative breast cancer. Have had bone scan today, CT scan tomorrow  awaiting another biopsy.

My surgeon & oncologist want me to have intravenous chemo to shrink the size of my lump before it is removed, this enables them to be able to remove all of it. I will have 5 months worth all in all.

I'm glad to hear your diagnosis came back better than you thought. Thinking of you & your boys.

Thank you, all went well eventually. Had tearful moment at one stage wen friend was asked to wait outside by receptionist. I felt so alone sitting outside a room that had radiation posters & nuclear medicine written over doors.

  • Hi Donny

this is a horrid disease. I hope all scans come back fine and you can get this started so your on your way to recovery. 5 months seems long now but it will pass so quickly.
I told my eldest yesterday and he was really supportive not telling my youngest as I think it will frighten him. So going to work around him

I will be thinking of you and praying your results come in soon for you and your girls are there by your side to keep you strong. You [weve] got this.
my meeting is 20th with consultant to give me op date and treatment plan so another week.
thwn hopefully I’ll be starting in my journey x

    take care Heart
