Just got off the phone to my surgeon who wanted to know if I had made a decision on implant after mastectomy or to remain flat and have tummy flap surgery later . Still finding this a very difficult choice to make , I have read that having an implant can affect radiotherapy but she tells me this isn’t the case , does anyone know if when they have had an implant after mastectomy how did this affect them . She’s talking about a 1 to 2 year wait for tummy breast reconstruction and waiting this long is a long time to wait I know that having the mastectomy will be the better option as implants can be more complex surgery but still doable I’m just after peoples experiences with this please x
