Hi Everyone,
I have been taking letrozole since November 2021 as I had ER+
Breast cancer , I had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal in the August followed by Radiotherapy since then I have had a constant dry throat which has got worse as the months have passed and now I also have been getting a lot of mouth ulcers around my lips and roof of my mouth and tongue is this a normal side effect. I would be very grateful for any advice .
Hi, I didn’t get mouth ulcers while on Letrozole, but I have since starting chemo. I’ve been using a non alcohol mouth wash called Difflam from dentist. Reckon ice lollies, ice cream that sort of thing is only thing that’ll sooth as well as chewing gum with xylitol in. I’ve been reading a book called ‘Braving Chemo’ by an American Dr ( Beverley A Zavaleta MD) who had Breast Cancer & she suggested the above & I don’t need an excuse to eat ice cream lol. Hope you find this helpful & it gets rid of them, cause they’re flaming painful..
